True Crime Club

Perfect for the true crime enthusiast.  

Once Weekly, two hours.classes

Appropriate for ages 21 and up, 

Mid to High Functioning individuals

Most cases lasting a minimum of six weeks. Come join our weekly club as we dissect high profile crimes.  Bring out  your inner detective in a fun and interactive way as we take on cases, solved and unsolved through the entire process of the criminal justice system. In this class we will cover:

1-Case study

2-Defendants

3-Victims, Suspects, Evidence

4-Facts pertaining to the Case

5-Building the Arrest

6-Trial Facts

7-Prosecution

8-Summary of trials

9-Sentencing

10-Parole hearing, victim statements, prisoner statements, parole outcomes

Professional guest speakers from all aspects of the justice system will visit our club.  FBI agents, Homicide Detectives, Corrections, Prosecutors and Defense attorneys will share their knowledge and expertise in an interactive setting sure to stimulate your mind, as well as increase awareness and feed your curiosity.

This club has many social elements, including meeting new friends who share your interest, as well as  building confidence and self esteem. The True Crime Club  encourages individuals to  share ideas with peers in a setting that is easy and judgement free. 

All cases are decided upon by participants in a fair and unbiased process.

Creative Writing Club

Weekly 2 hours classes

Mid to High functioning

This class is for individuals interested in short stories, graphic novels, poetry, non-fiction and fiction. Published Guest Authors  will visit  to discuss  professional tips and engage participants in Q & A 's about the field of writing. Experts will visit to help build your on-line research skills and share databases. Join us as we explore vocabulary development, creative writing techniques and skills in a fun, interactive, judgement free zone. In this class we will cover:

1-Character development

2- Setting, context and plot

3-Research techniques- using online databases and Article searches to help develop your story or ideas

 4-Creativity and confidence
